About Blogophoresis

It’s strange what make a person want to write a blog and my creative juices are even stranger.  From a major national or world event, a personal crisis to something as mundane as watching your children grow up.  We all have a lot to say and nearly everyone is an expert on something.  My area of expertise – security, or more appropriately loss prevention.

In my travels, I have done a lot of different things – starting my working life as a firefighter/EMT, a couple of short stents as a truck driver, a security guard, a cable guy, an airport lineman and am now a self employed security consultant and technician.

My family is really what makes me tick even though they (the wife and kids) drive me nuts.  Two girls and a boy..  Children, parenthood.. maybe just the act of being human amazes me.  Watching my kids grow up and learn is so rewarding and a huge return on my investment of time, money and my sanity.  The oldest, I believe, is the smartest one of the bunch.  She does her homework every day and is highly inquisitive about everything, loving to learn because she somehow knows that that is what makes me happiest.  She really lives to be my favorite and I tell her all the time that she’s my favorite oldest daughter.  Number two child is a dainty little thing that has the ability to walk around totally unconscious and carefree all day every day, she really reminds me of myself when I was her age and as a result, I am tougher on her trying to awaken her from fantasy land.  She’s all about herself, loves make-up and dolls and purses and clothes – I often wonder of she doesn’t already have a plan for the future.  Finally, the is my son.  He still thinks he is indestructible and is sure that he can fly.  This child really makes me thing of Larry the Cableguy… Disturbing…

So why am I blogging you ask?  Well this isn’t my first time.  It is however the first time that I have decided to make my writing friendly and inviting.  I am searching for a new audience.
